Suggested stay

© Souleuvre Viaduct

For unforgettable sensations in Pays de Vire, you absolutely must go to the Souleuvre Viaduct. You will find a large choice of activities to do with your family, your partner or your friends.

Souleuvre Viaduct

At AJ Hackett Normandie, you are at the top of the viaduct, on a platform of 61 meters above the Souleuvre Valley. From there you can admire the typical landscape of the hills of Normandy but above all you can do an unforgettable bungee jump (in solo or tandem) but also you can do a Giant Zip line over 400m at 100km / h, or a Giant Swing up to 135km / h in 3.5 seconds or even the Pendulum jump, thrills guaranteed!

Extend your experience at Normandie Luge located at the bottom of the valley. A recent rebuilt path takes you there in 10 minutes by foot.

There, you will find a circuit of 11 Ziplines in the forest, a Tree climbing route on a net with more than 80 workshops from 8 years old but also an initiation course accessible from 3 years old.

There is possibility to do sledge on rails accessible to everyone from 3 years old, for a descent of 700 meters of pure pleasure at a speed of up to 42km / h. You will be able to discover many sensations at the Jardin Pieds Nus, a 200-meter-long sensory path made up of 40 different surfaces made of natural materials.

Hiking and Restaurant

Under the piles of the Viaduct, it is also the starting point for the quality circuit n ° 2 “Du Roucamps à la Souleuvre”, a difficult circuit of 17.5km that takes you to see the « Pont du Taureau » (symbol of the Bluecoat operation) with exceptional views on the Souleuvre valley.

On the Normandie Luge site, you can easily eat at the restaurant-brasserie “Les Trois sens Couverts” which offers an accessible “home-made” cuisine, with dish of the day and the possibility of take-out. And for those who brought their snacks, picnic tables are available.

Bény-Bocage village

After your emotional day, take a detour through the pretty and typical village of Bény-Bocage to admire the old grain and butter market and the Sainte Honorine Church with its oriental influence holding a square bell tower… Before going to the Cave du Bénit: It’s an surprising Irish break in the heart of the Normandy’s countryside.

There you will find a cellar with a selection of delicious whiskeys among the finest but also an excellent selection of rums and wines. Cave du Bénit is also a traditional Irish pub « The Irish corner » where you can eat a tasty fish and chips, a beer stew or a traditional Irish breakfast (by reservation).

Accommodation:

For 100% natural accommodation, we suggest you sleep at campsite Le pas d’âne, a farm in Saint-Pierre-Tarentaine. You will be able set up your tent, or your van or to sleep in a old caravan among the apple trees. Don’t be surprised if you see a herd of 12 donkeys and animals of the farm !

The new renovated room is made of ecological materials (lime-hemp) where there is a kitchen area and sanitary facilities (solar showers and recovery rainwater for toilets).
