Valdal Brewery in Pierres

Located in the heart of the Virois bocage, in Valdallière, the Valdal brewery is: local craft beers, original recipes and a friendly place, « la chouette buvette ».

Our state of mind: to create and brew original beers by favouring local and organic ingredients as much as possible (malts from Normandy malt near Bayeux, hops from the Manche and Calvados regions, honey from the Bocage, herbs from Saint Jean le Blanc, etc.) in order to combine short circuits and creativity.

Our craft beers are brewed on site on a small scale, unfiltered, unpasteurised and refermented in bottles.
Inside there are: 100% organic malt and cereals, organic or in-conversion hops to accompany our local hop growers, yeast, organic sugar, water, and sometimes organic spices, herbs or fruits.

Our range is a clever mix of revisited classics and out-of-the-box recipes, with permanent beers and new ephemeral recipes very regularly.

Come and meet us on the spot: adjoining the brewery, the boutique bar « la chouette buvette » allows you to visit the brewery, taste our beers on draught, but also other local drinks (homemade lemonade, cider and apple juice from Vassy, herbal teas from the bocage etc.). In the middle of the countryside in our pretty bocage, come and enjoy a beer on the terrace in fine weather or in winter in the small bar overlooking the production room.
The bar is open every Friday from 3pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 2pm to 6pm. The shop is open by appointment from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm. Small events are organised regularly: don’t hesitate to check our facebook page to follow our news!
