Voie verte from Vire to Sourdeval
The origins of Vire, a charming town with bustling markets, are old, but a large part of the town was rebuilt after an Allied bombardment in 1944. You will still see the remains of the fortifications built in the 12th century by Henry I, then King of England and Normandy. Don’t forget to taste the great culinary specialty of Vire: smoked andouille.
Common stage Tour de Manche / Véloroute des Plages du Débarquement au Mont-Saint-Michel.
