The Village of Lénault
Discover, by downloading the file below, the history of the village of Lénault.
Situated in Calvados, it is one of the rare villages in the Normandy bocage not to have suffered the horrors of the Second World War. The parish church contains several graves of the lords of Lénault dating from the 17th century. Opposite the church is the former seigneurial castle, which is now the restaurant La Table des 2 Ifs, offering pizzas cooked over a wood fire at weekends throughout the year. Outside the village, in the Druance valley, there is a magnificent 17th century chapel Notre Dame de Pitié (open in summer only).
This small document will plunge you into the life of the village in the past.
