Caumont L’Eventé Observatory

This observatory is placed in front of the D-Day landing beaches, a map describes the advance of the allied troops from June 6 to 13, 1944. Caumont l’Eventé is liberated on June 13 by the 1st American Infantry Division “Big Red One” of General Clarence Huebner. In the same place, a souvenir stele commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Normandy.
